International aspirations for Stephenville airport after Ottawa group purchase
$200 million investment could bring 5,000 jobs to Newfoundland and Labrador
STEPHENVILLE, N.L. — Carl Dymond has big plans to turn the Stephenville Airport into what he believes can be a viable international facility while also tapping into the cargo services market.
Dymond’s company, Ottawa-based Dymond Group of Companies, is entering into an agreement to purchase the west coast airport from the Stephenville Airport Corporation.
Originally from Torbay, Dymond will rebrand the Stephenville Airport as the Stephenville Dymond International Airport.
